Experiences and Challenges among Pediatrics Intensive Care Units Nurses during COVID-19 Crisis

Study aim: To identify experiences and challenges among Pediatrics Intensive Care Units nurses during COVID 19 crisis. design: the descriptive qualitative design was used. Setting: This study carried out at all (PICU) in Port Said hospitals. subject: Snowball sampling of (115) Pediatric nursing staff worked In PICU hospitals have participated this from beginning November 2020 to February 2021.Data collection tools: a semi-structured electronic form applied PICU. Two tools were used study, tool I: Assessment interview questionnaire sheet composed two parts, socio-demographic data pediatric ICU & nurses’ Tool II: Challenges faced pediatrics Results: Most (87%) crisis high that percentages (97.1%) them moral followed by social, psychological challenges, related nature disease, resources deficiency then physical (93.9%, 92.2%, 91.3%, 90.4%, 88.7%) respectively. The 'experiences indicated higher statistical significance regarding means transportation, providing care for suspected confirmed patients with p. value challenges. As well as, COVID19 statistically significant total patient. Recommendations: Researches should be conducted enhance knowledge on COVID-19 prevention management& thus manipulation experiences, troubles crises.
